Stoneware, raised-relief and transfer decoration. The bookshelf motif of soft muted books serves as the framework for a pewter medallion. On the medallion are a mortar & pestle in the foreground with a microscope, vials, canisters, pills and tablets as the side decorations. On top of the baroque pewter lid is a pewter owl figurine. The lid of the stein is polished and suitable for engraving.
